Volcanic Hero (2007)
Unless you were around the game 20 years ago, I don't think most of you know or remember how amazing Volcanic Rocket was when Force of the Breaker was a fresh set. A Stratos that would grab you a card from the deck or even the graveyard and surpassed him even in attack power at 1900. That card was seriously unbelievable. If you were to use a deck mostly themed around Volcanics; you'd find they weren't the most flawless deck in the world, but Volcanic Rocket and a few other cards from the group stand out. I'm going to show you a turbo deck that can consistently summon Volcanic Doomfire and that's so turbo you can even draw yourself Crush Card and just win that way. Yup, that's right. We will actually be summoning the cool representative monster of Force of the Breaker.

Notes and strategy: Volcanic Doomfire has a great 3000 attack and an effect that will destroy all of your opponent's monsters after he kills a monster in battle. He will even deal burn damage for every monster destroyed and forces your opponent to attack this monster in the battle phase. Lots of good stuff right? I'd even dare say this monster was extremely broken during that time.
However, the reason it's not as famous as Dark Armed Dragon or other boss monsters is that summoning condition. To special summon this card you need the 2 different Blaze Accelerator cards. You play the first one, get rid of it for the second one and then get rid of that too to summon Volcanic Doomfire. These 2 cards are also going to be completely useless if you don't run pyro monsters and Volcanics to destroy monsters with them. So, without too much thought you would conclude that Volcanic Doomfire can't really be splashed anywhere and can only be used as the boss monster in his own deck. Not quite so.
If you actually do the card math Volcanic Doomfire is no more difficult to bring out than an easy to summon ritual monster such as Relinquished. You need the ritual monster, the ritual spell and only 1 monster as a ritual tribute. That is exactly the same as Volcanic Doomfire. Thanks to Volcanic Rocket, we can efficiently grab 1 piece of the puzzle and also take advantage of that sweet 1900 attack. "That's still not consistent enough". You're right. That's why we got my lovable D Hero engine to save that day for this deck as well. The Destiny Heroes chosen here give us plenty of Crush Card targets and will even allow us the opportunity to summon a Monarch with them as well. I didn't go overboard with Monarchs; only one tech Thestalos is included here because we do run a lot of cards that with the wrong hands will be completely stuck.
As for Bloo-D/Plasma and Dogma they are excellent as both Destiny Draw and Trade-In targets for our greedy draw. You might as well also include the one Scapegoat for a possible easy Plasma summon or just as defence card. In this 2007 format both Premature Burial and Call of the Haunted were around and you will reap a lot of value by reviving Disk Commander or even just Stratos and Volcanic Rocket.
A few other cards such as Pot of Avarice could be considered for this deck, but it runs fairly well from my testing so I don't think I would change anything with it right now. Keep in mind, you can encounter brick situations and Pot of Avarice can only add to that. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading and learning about this fun 2007 deck and I encourage you to try it out! Wazzuuup!!
