Cards Of The Week #27
Vinsmoke Reiju (OP06-069)
Beautiful girl on a beautiful full art, whether you're a man or woman if you don't think this card is pretty then you're lying. The Germa 66 deck from OP06 was to my memory the first deck of the one piece tcg to go all the way as a pure theme as it could. If that sounded confusing what I mean is the majority of the cards in that deck at the time were all Geram 66 from the OP06 set they released in.
More importantly they played in a particular way; tagging the smaller characters for the stronger ones and this also contributed to the "different" identity this deck had at the time. Whether you remember it or not, you don't need to run a Germa 66 leader or deck to make use of Reiju here. She's one the earliest if not the first draw 2 card on foot but her limitations stand out quite a bit in our current game right now.
You need to have the same or fewer DON!! than your opponent to activate her effect and perhaps more importantly than that, you need 5 or fewer cards in your hand or you won't get to draw. As always, the comparison here has to be made with Linlin and Marco but even OP13 Izo, a lesser considered card could be considered better now. He'll draw you 2 cards with no conditions but his attack power is pretty bad for the cost you're paying.
At any rate, I can't go too low on this card as her draw is still good and the stat package is standard but realistically she would still only belong in purple decks that will go behind your opponent in DON!! or you can't use her.

Roronoa Zoro (ST29-014)
There is really nothing bad to say about this Zoro card other than at 6 DON!! OP12 Kuma will almost always be the better thing to summon for a yellow character that can be splashed in any yellow deck.
If you're running an Egghead/Straw Hat package then he definitely stands out as one of the better cards for a cost 6 but even then you may not even utilize his rush character effect. His extra rested DON!! with a draw and discard effect is good but not the most broken effect in the world either these days. The condition for the trigger card discard can also be a nuisance, not only for having an appropriate target but also wanting to discard it to draw.
You may not want to do it but if you don't then you don't get the rested DON!! either diminishing this card's effectiveness. If you don't get to use the effect at least 2 times then you didn't really get the most out of him in my opinion. Even then, like I said it's not a mega overpowered effect, although helping you regulate your hand will be appealing for some players and decks.
Mayhaps I'm being too kind with my rating but I still have to deem this as a pretty solid card that could end up being even better in the future.
